Good morning to my readers!
Thank you for “landing” on my website.
It brings me great excitement and joy to welcome you to my beloved little nest, located above the rooftops of Venice in the Castello district. Venice is in my DNA and I grew up experiencing and contemplating its beauty. How could I not share it with the world?
I was born to a German mother and a Venetian father. My dad, now 91 years old, was once a proud gondolier and his work allowed him to elegantly accompany tourists along the Venetian canals and waterways providing an authentic way to enjoy the beauty of this wonderful city.
Once upon a time, in order to be a gondolier, you had to be the son of a gondolier. Hence, the history and culture of the city was passed down from generation to generation.
Many years ago, after moving to the mainland, my parents bought this small apartment as a pied-a-terre, because it is simply not possible to live fully away from Venice even after you have left.

Five years ago, I decided to completely restore the apartment and equip it with all the necessary amenities so that my beloved guests would be able to enjoy the beauty of this city from a privileged viewpoint.
Many guests decide to return once they have stayed here, because they love Acqua Attico but also because of its great location.
I always recommend shops where you can buy fresh fish, local vegetables, and freshly baked bread.
This quaint, every-day Venice still exists and I want my guests to be able to experience it while keeping away from the overcrowded tourist routes.
However, a short walk through history and tradition is all that is required to reach the city center.
